SATTVA CLASSES
INTRO TO YOGA: (drop-in) This class is perfect for those with some yoga experience who find regular classes too challenging but want to establish a yoga practice. There will be an emphasis on both standing and seated postures. Modifications will be given to students who need them. This is a perfect dynamic flow for those new practitioners looking for a deeper challenge. DROP-IN SUNDAYS 12:00-1:00 SATURDAYS 2 - 3 p.m.
SATTVA: Explore diverse sequences of Hatha postures that will rock your world. This class is designed to bring balance, inner strength and energy to the practitioner and has a dynamic fluid posture flow allowing us to reveal the potential that exists within the body. After the postures we do specific breathing techniques to strengthen the lungs and centre the mind, followed by a meditation. Combining these three elements of body, breath & mind will give you the ultimate yoga experience.This class will leave you blissful! For all levels of practitioner.
SATTVA INTERMEDIATE: We will take this opportunity to go deeper into the potential of the physical body. The sequences used int this class will be designed to unlock your true potential. We will explore various opening postures and sequences that create a safe and dynamic environment for the body to go deeper into it's hidden potential and strength. Not suitable for beginners. Come challenge the body and mind. Prerequisite: You must be comfortable in the general SATTVA classes, comfortable in backbends, headstand and other inversions.
SATTVA DRUM: Come deepen the experience of the practice with the incredible blend of drum & breathing and movement. this is a strong SATTVA class with live drumming. Come experience the breath and deepen your practice.
SATTVA DEEP RELAXATION: This is a Yin Style class, meaning longer holds and moving deeper into postures and into your practice.Take this opportunity to find new depths in the postures, increased range of motion, focusing on opening hips, shoulders and spine. Come learn how to release & relax the body and unwind the mind. The teacher will also touch on some of what Yoga Philosophy has to offer. |
