WHY: Springtime is a very good time of year to cleanse, particularly in our climate where our bodies feel heavy and sluggish from the cold winter months. We do this month long cleanse to commit to our body, deepen our understanding of how we strengthen our practice through lifestyle and diet, and gain some lightness in the body and the mind.
There are some foods that are inherently SATTVIC in their nature and lead to a more balanced, harmonious state where the body and the mind can align more clearly. When we incorporate more of these sattvic foods into our diet, the body is happier and healthier, the mind is more relaxed, and we start to gain all kinds of benefits that affect us on multiple levels.

Food restrictions:
• No wheat or gluten
• No canned or processed foods (nothing in a package)
• No alcohol, no tobacco
• No dairy
• No fish or meat
• No refined sugar or sweeteners
• No coffee or black tea
• No heavy spices (example: chilies, garlic, onions, or strong curries)
