For me,yoga is not a fad or fashion but a deep relationship through which to know your body and your self.I started practicing Ashtanga yoga as a daily practice in 1998 and found that it was the kind of exercise my body and soul had been yearning for!I studied at The Yoga Centre in Edinburgh and then became a teacher there.I have been studying with many teachers since then ,including Sri K.Pattabhi Jois,Sharath Rangaswamy,Tim Miller,Davis Swenson,John Scott,Matthew Sweeney,Dena Kingsberg,Dona Holleman,Hamish Hendry,Kristina Karitanos Ireland,Graeme Northfield and others.I try to return to Mysore,India,whenever possible to continue my studies with Pattabhi Jois (Guruji).
I have extensive training in many healing modalities including sports and remedial massage,phytotherapy (the study of herbs ),energy healing and holographic repatterning.Whilst I focus almost exclusively on yoga teaching now,all of these trainings have enabled me to fine tune my ability to read people’s bodies,and to particularly see where each individual student needs particular attention.Since becoming a mom of two boys I have started teaching pre-natal and parent and baby yoga.
