WHEN: Month of May
WHY: Springtime is a very good time of year to cleanse, particularly in our climate where our bodies feel heavy and sluggish from the cold winter months. We do this month long cleanse to commit to our body, deepen our understanding of how we strengthen our practice through lifestyle and diet, and gain some lightness in the body and the mind.

There are some foods that are inherently SATTVIC in their nature and lead to a more balanced, harmonious state where the body and the mind can align more clearly. When we incorporate more of these sattvic foods into our diet, the body is happier and healthier, the mind is more relaxed, and we start to gain all kinds of benefits that affect us on multiple levels.

Food restrictions:
• No wheat or gluten
• No canned or processed foods (nothing in a package)
• No alcohol, no tobacco
• No dairy
• No fish or meat
• No refined sugar or sweeteners
• No coffee or black tea
• No heavy spices (example: chilies, garlic, onions, or strong curries)

This workshop will delve into this months sequence and integrative action lines. During this workshop you will learn the variations available to you in each posture, as well as the rhythm of the sequence, leaving you feeling balanced. Attending this workshop will increase your confidence level, and give you greater understanding of the depth of the SATTVA Yoga Practice. Open to all levels.

Ayurveda is the oldest holistic healing modality known to man, practiced for over 5,000 years, this science of life includes effective diet and lifestyle guides, individualized meditation, breathing and yoga techniques, Marma Chikitsa, mantra healing, herbology, gem therapy, aromatherapy, colour therapy and massage.
Ayurveda promotes healthy living and a Sattvic lifestyle- one of balance and harmony; while striving to maintain the perfect health of a healthy person through prevention and to cure the disease process in an unhealthy person through proper diet, lifestyle, panchakarma, rasayana, herbs and therapies.

Biography
Jessica Kruse is an Ayurvedic Therapist and RYT, who has studied across the globe; elaborating her Ayurvedic training with Dr. Vasant Lad and Jaisri M. Lambert. Jessica specializes in AyurYoga, Ayurvedic pulse reading, consultations and counselling, Turiya therapy (Marma Chikitsa), Ayurvedic massage and beauty treatments.

ADVANCING YOUR SATTVA YOGA PRACTICE

This is a 5 day SATTVA YOGA intensive limited to 10 mats.

*PREREQUISITE*: proficient in all the postures and knowledge of the sequence we are working with this month

Mornings will consist of INSPIRED PRACTICE with advanced adjustments. We will explore the deeper dimensions of Yoga with pranayama, meditation, and yoga philosophy. Afternoons will be intimate, directed open discussion on yoga practice, teaching yoga and yoga lifestyle to deepen an enhance your practice of yoga

Rameen Peyrow, spiritual teacher, began his practice of yoga at a very young age with meditation. Renown for his self-enquiry style of teaching, Rameen is dedicated to inspiring people how to connect to the authentic experience of the self and the process of realizing his or her full potential. Rameen has a holistic approach to teaching yoga with a strong focus on meditation and yoga philosophy.
